Leaf – A Hot, New, DIGITAL Garden Magazine
It happened this week…
A new magazine launched that had people across the country literally drooling all over their computer, iPad and cell phone screens.
Leaf Magazine emerged as the latest addition to the garden writing world.
This completely digital garden & outdoor style magazine is filled with sleek photos, well-written and thought provoking articles and…a little sass. It promises to bring inspiration to our laptops four times a year.
Leaf was the brainchild of Susan Cohen and Rochelle Greayer – two well-known landscape designers/garden writers who were disappointed that such a magazine did not exist. So…they just decided to create it themselves!
With the help of managing editor, Lynn Felici-Gallant and advertizing director, Sandra Sloan, this team of four talented women pulled off what many of us have been waiting for…A high style magazine, with links, videos and of course solid information embedded within its pages.
And THAT is what can make digital reading such a rewarding experience – the ability to bring more to the page that text. By including links, expanded information and video, it takes the value of that work to a whole new level. Unfortunately, many magazines and on line "print" venues fall short.
But the ladies at Leaf "get it"! WHOOT!
They are garden writers, designers and consumers of this information. So who better to put together a magazine for us? They understand that we want to click on something to get a deeper understanding of the subject. And I know it will get even better with each issue. Thank you ladies!
The best part? IT IS FREE!
You can subscribe for free HERE. Or if you simply must have a paper version, you can order it from their website.
AND they have blog called "Leaflets" with lots of tid-bits and photos.
I have had the pleasure of knowing two of the four women personally and professionally, (Susan and Lynn) and I look forward to spending lots of time (virtually) with Rochell and Sandra as they continue to create Leaf!
High Five to the Leaf Team!
Ya done good!
