This 11 year old kid is amazing.

Check out this 11 year old kid giving a speech at the TED awards – Next Generation. Oh my! He is amazing.

In five minutes, he explains (in very simple terms) what is wrong with our food system and why he has decided to be an organic farmer when he grows up.

Wow!

I would like for more people to think and act upon what this 11yr old is talking about. I do not know what happened to the old ways but, I would rather eat unaltered food. It will take an effort on our part but, we can do it.

Thanks Shawna and Gabby – I love this video too. Yes, he memorized it. Yes, I am sure his parents coached and taught it to him. But how brave he was and how well he did on stage. And he seems to truly have a handle on what many American’s don’t get.

Kudos to him.

I think that this young man will go far. We need people who say what they mean and mean what they say. I just hope he do not go into politics. Anyone who goes there seem to lose their way. We need him on the peoples side.

Rick and Sparky,

I agree with both of you. I think this kid will go places because he is so articulate for a young man. But I also hope he does not go into politics!

Thanks for this video. TED has sooooo many good talks. I love this one called ‘How To Grow Your Own Fresh Air’ about using certain plants to boost indoor air quality (a little bit down the page): http://www.smilinggardener.com/introduction/5-unique-ways-to-decrease-pollution
