I have a new canning and preserving post over

Strawberries & Cream Low-Sugar Jam

No, there is no "cream" in this recipe. I use a delicious vanilla bean to create that creamy flavor. And by making it low-sugar, the flavors of the berries really shine!

Me too Susan! This time, my two boys helped me make the jam. Yesterday, I overheard my 11 year old bragging to his buddy that he made his own jam.

Priceless!

My mom will be very happy to get this recipe. She had to cut back on all the good stuff that she use to eat and that makes for a blander diet. This will give her a boost of flavor in it.

This is such a pretty picture. I hope these are a real picture of your finished product. I know that you worked hard at it.

Oh yes Karen – This IS the real photo of what I canned on camera that day. About an hour after the photo was taken, we opened a jar and ate the whole thing with spoons. (The crew wanted to taste it after having to smell it cooking all that time)

It tasted as good as it looks.

I love your jams. I also, like that you package them in small jars. I love to make them and give them away. It always puts a smile on a friends face.

Yum, yum! I love this time of year. My wife makes great jellies and jams. I would like it better if, she use the small jars that you have pictured because I like to change flavors more frequently.

This is so nice. I like that people are still canning their own fruits and vegetables. I know that when I ate at my grandmothers house, the food always tasted better.

Carol -
Putting them is small jars work great, don’t they? That way you can share with more friends!

Wally -
You make another good point. Small jars keep you from getting bored.

Sammy -
I love that people are still canning too.
