Hello? Anybody Home?

GardenPots Based on the emails I have received, many people are wondering where I went! Sorry for the absence here.

Everything is fine!

I have been working on the new PBS gardening show 24/7 and I had to either let my blog slide a bit or stop sleeping all together.

I tried the no sleep thing, but after about three days you start to hear voices!  So, I had to get back on track with at least a few hours each night. LOL

The good news is that I am starting to get caught up on things. I have several posts in the works from garden shows, private gardens and the filming that I think you will enjoy. I have been traveling a lot and capturing photos, videos and podcasts of some really cool gardening people! I can't wait to share them with you.

Here is a bit of a preview:

In Seattle, I spent a full day following around an urban beekeeper who leases hives to city dwellers.

The bees pollinate their gardens, he maintains the hive and at the end of the season, the garden owners get the honey! How cool is that? I have lots of bee information from this day and a great podcast with Corky Luster, the bee man. Can't wait to share that one!

Also in Seattle at the Garden Show, I fell in love with urban goats…

While in San Francisco, I visited many cool places including the private garden of my dear friend Rebecca Sweet. I can't wait to share the photos of her lovely garden complete with charming shed. (Wait until you see the inside!)

So over the next few weeks, I will begin sharing these stories and photos as I catch up on my life. Plus a few tidbits of information I have gathered along the way. And of course there is all the cool stuff we are filming for Growing A Greener World! Whew! A lot to tell.

It is great to be back!

So happy you are back…For a while there I had multi-levels of missing you. Lemon vodka was the only cure that worked…

Looking forward to the upcoming videos and photos, etc, from you! Now get some rest. LOL!

Karen -
Lemon vodka sounds like a GREAT cure! Save some for me! My lemon verbena plant is leafing out now. We can add a few sprigs of that to the mix.
