News Alert: Cottage Living Magazine is shutting down!

November 20, 2008 · 3 comments

CottageLiving The latest news from garden writer friend Debra Prinzing is that Cottage Living Magazine is closing its pages as of the Nov/Dec issue.

I am sad to see this magazine close up. Although it is not a "garden" magazine per say, Cottage Living has always done a fabulous job of showing how the garden around a home can be the jewelry that sets off the house. I love that magazine and I will miss it.

Here is a link detailing the shut down. Thanks Deb for the tip!

That’s really too bad. These economic times are hitting everyone. Will they continue with an online magazine…or, is this the end of all content?

I must admit that I let my subscription lapse when I retired from my technology career.

Are you kidding??!! This is one of my favorite magazines and I have a subscription to it. :( I better cherish this last issue and all the rest I have. The economy is getting scary isn’t it? I know there’s a list of stores going around that are closing down as well. Very popular mall stores!

The reports are that Nov/Dec is the last issue, yet their website is still taking subscriptions and gift subscriptions which does not seem right.

I wonder what magazine will be sent to replace the rest of the subscriptions when they close?
