Send Bugs Packing!

Alfrescolotion_2 Here is a product I am anxious to try. It is called Alfresco Anti-Bug Bite Moisturizer and I have seen it mentioned in the "new product" sections of several gardening magazines. It was developed by English botanist Sarah-Lou Reekie who would find herself eaten up by bugs whenever she worked in the garden. She knew a lot about bugs, horticulture and the historical/medicinal uses of herbs. Through her research and experimentation she developed this fragrant anti-bug lotion and took it to a company who helped her develop it into this bug repellent.

The mixture of lavender, geranium and lemon balm extracts is supposed to send mosquitoes packing without offending the wearer. The repellent is endorsed by the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and is safe for babies and anyone with sensitive skin. It comes as a lotion or a botanical spray (like cologne).

The problem is…IT IS ONLY AVAILABLE IN ENGLAND! Yes, we can order it via the web from Alfresco Limited in England, but I am not sure what the shipping would be to us over here in America. Ugh. I really want to try this stuff! But I don’t want to pay a huge shipping cost for a little bottle of lotion when the lotion itself cost about $36 USD. I will let you know if I find a source here.
